How to Get Paid: Invoicing Tips & Technologies
What's this workshop about?
How to Get Paid is a workshop for a small group of builders, creators, and small business owners who are determined to work smarter (and get paid faster) by being intentional about their business' invoicing and collections processes. During this workshop, you will:
-
Learn about the most common mistakes small businesses make in their invoicing systems.
-
Assess the opportunities that would enable you to intentionally "brand" your invoicing system.
-
Build or refine a foolproof invoicing and collections workflow for your business operations that you can either (a) perform more efficiently by yourself, (b) automate with technology, or (c) easily delegate to an assistant.
This is a workshop on nuts-and-bolts operations of how to improve your systems. This is not a "woo woo" theory session or a talk about sales methodology. Come prepared with a copy of your existing invoice and be ready to get to work.
Who am I?
Hi, my name's Layla Pomper and I help work business owners work smarter. I'm the owner and workflow strategist at InkBale where I help builders and small businesses organize their back office by using business systems and technology. My job is to help you spend less time doing the tasks that don't make you money.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is designed for those who identify with all or most of the following:
-
You find invoicing boring or are frustrated that it takes way too much time.
-
You have an admin / office team of fewer than 3 people, so a lot of the back office work for your business falls on your shoulders.
-
You're good at your work, but haven't quite found the right way to leverage technology to make your business more efficient.
-
You are launching a new business and want to be intentional about business systems from the start.
Note: You do not need to be a builder or a member of YBA to attend this workshop -- all are welcome!
