$18.00 to $22.00/Hr

Hours:  The standard work week is Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm some over-time may be required.

Dress code: Business Casual

Length of assignment:  Evaluation Hire (temp to hire) depending on job performance, attitude, and attendance.  

Job Description: We are a small office located in Southern York County, interested in hiring a full-time Bookkeeper/Office Assistant. We have a professional, small-office environment and are seeking a dependable upbeat individual for general office support who meets the following qualifications:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answering phones/receptionist
  • Performing A/P, A/R, and Payroll in-house
  • Preparation of bank deposits
  • Mail pick-up and distribution
  • Ordering, receiving, shipping, stocking supplies; ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs.
  • Entering service calls, dispatching to technicians, and handling all work orders
  • Support for the HR Administrator
  • Filing and maintaining files
  • Assisting office personnel as necessary
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned

ATTRIBUTES/CHARACTERISTIICS:

  • Strong customer service skills, including pleasant phone manner
  • Above-average computer skills/literacy, with knowledge of internet and all Microsoft Office applications; emphasis on Excel
  • A willingness to learn and help whenever and wherever needed
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping
  • A “self-starter” initiative, not afraid to “jump in”
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member
  • Above average communication skills, both written and oral
  • High level of dependability and integrity
  • Detail-oriented
  • Exposure to Accounting software; SAGE is a plus
  • Flexibility – capable of changing gears from office/phone/warehouse – efficiently and effectively
  • Must have reliable transportation for daily travel to post office

Some Human Resources knowledge/experience is helpful
