Sr. Lead 3rd Shift

3rd - 11p - 7a (10:45p arrival expectation)
Dress code: Steel toes required. All other PPE supplied. Shorts and t-shirts are acceptable. Tank tops must have 3in straps.
Job Description: Essentially, the role is 2nd to the Production Manager. While training on 1st, responsible for learning the processes, machinery, and people. The position is NOT exempt from on-the-floor work as well, and we expect this person to become comfortable/signed off on the machinery, like an operator. When comfortable and ready, move to the 2nd shift hours and be solely responsible for the leadership of that shift. 2nd shift hours may vary when moved based on needs but ultimately will be the traditional 3p-11p. 
Some key competencies/experience we are looking for:

  • Experience with supervision of a team (preferably in the manufacturing sector) - It is a smaller team on 2nd, so possibly leads coming from larger facilities and looking for a more personal atmosphere, or in my experiences, individuals with Military background tend to be a good fit managing smaller teams. 
  • Able to coach and develop employees.
  • Comfortable with hands-on duties (Everything from removing scrap, filling in for an operator/forklift driver, etc)
  • Strong understanding of SAP/Inventory software
  • Demonstrates good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Naturally committed to a strong occupational health and safety culture
